Please tell us about the work you are currently doing.

The Business Solutions Sales Department that I belong to was originally called the Moving Department. We mainly handle domestic moving as well as international moving. I am currently in charge of a series of tasks, including visiting the customer's home, confirming the amount of luggage to be sent to the destination, and actually delivering it overseas. Unlike in Japan, there are many things that cannot be taken overseas, so we do our best to accommodate our customers' wishes.

What kind of school days did you have?

I was busy with extracurricular activities. I used to run track and field and play tennis, but both are sports that test the abilities of an individual rather than a team, so I always pushed myself to the point where I couldn't make excuses. There were times when I failed and felt depressed, but I believe that the experience of listening to the encouragement and advice of my teammates and trying through trial and error to move in a better direction is still with me even now that I have entered the workforce. What made you decide to join the company?

I vaguely wanted to do a job that had something to do with overseas. I visited various industries and companies during my job search, and I decided to work in the international logistics industry because I was attracted to the fact that they have many overseas bases and could be involved in business in various industries and companies. Above all, the reason I chose Nissin was the people. When I got to experience actual work during my internship, I still remember how politely I was treated. The deciding factor was that I wanted to work as a member of this company.

What is the atmosphere like at your company or department?

In a good way, it means being close to your superiors and colleagues! You can feel free to ask about anything you don't understand or have trouble with at work, so you rarely have to worry about it alone. We also have strong horizontal connections, so we sometimes consult with seniors and colleagues from other departments about matters that are outside of our area of expertise. On my days off, my classmates get together to play futsal and go camping, and I play golf with my boss and seniors, and we get along really well!

How do you think you have grown compared to when you first joined the company?

When I first joined the company, I didn't know what was right and what was left, and all I could do was do the work I was taught. There were days when I failed over and over again and felt depressed, but each time I realized how naive I was, and now I think my understanding of the business has deepened. In order to apply what I have learned from my mistakes to the next time, I try to act with an awareness of the whole, not just what is right in front of me.

Please tell us about your future goals and dreams.

My first goal is to accumulate knowledge and experience in maritime import and export, and to be able to make my own proposals to meet the various wishes of our customers. My dream is to not only handle day-to-day work, but also accumulate knowledge about things other than moving, such as Customs clearance and warehousing, and become a businessman who can be active overseas in the future.

Nowadays, it is easy to gather information on the internet, but it is best to visit as many different industries and companies as possible. There is a lot of information that cannot be found on the internet or in books, such as the atmosphere of the workplace and the real voices of the employees working there.
