interview01

Please tell us about the work you are currently doing.

The Management Accounting Division of the Kansai Management Department, to which I belong, functions as a contact point for accounting operations in the Kansai region, where there is no accounting department. Management accounting is accounting for internal managers, but since our department is the only one in the Kansai region that performs accounting work, the scope of work is wide-ranging.
Accounting duties at sales departments include checking daily cash and disbursement operations and monthly income and expenditures, as well as holding accounts receivable meetings once a month as part of receivables management to confirm that no receivables have been missed. This is an important role for our department.
Our division also undertakes accounting operations for affiliated companies in the Kansai region, and we handle all accounting operations throughout the year, from daily cashiers to tax filing operations. In particular, the quarterly financial settlement work involves creating financial statements and reporting to management, so the work content allows you to see the flow of money within the company.

interview 02

What kind of school days did you have?

I majored in economics and was a member of the softball baseball club.
Although it has nothing to do with economics, I developed an interest in China after studying Chinese as my second language and going to China for training for about a week, so I decided to take advantage of my university's exchange program. , I studied abroad in Guangzhou, China for one year. Since my main focus was learning Chinese, I didn't make many Chinese friends, but interacting with international students from all over the world was a valuable opportunity to learn about things outside of Japan. Also, at that time, I joined a baseball team made up of Japanese expatriates, and was able to not only play baseball, but also hear first-hand stories from many people about the life of expatriates, which further increased my interest in overseas. My student life suddenly expanded.

interview 03

What made you decide to join the company?

In the above-mentioned study abroad experience, I realized that things that are so commonplace in Japan that we don't pay attention to are actually not so obvious, and I felt the wonder of providing what is commonplace. As I listened to stories from people stationed overseas, I had a vague idea that I too wanted to help people overseas. This led me to aim for international logistics, which provides everyday logistics to people not only in Japan but all over the world. The deciding factor for me to join Nissin was that it had offices all over the world (including China).
In addition, I felt the warmth of the people at Nissin, and the fact that they listened to me kindly during my job search was a deciding factor in my decision to join the company.

interview 04

What is the atmosphere like at your company or department?

Before I joined the company, I felt that the company had a homely atmosphere, and even after joining the company, I still feel that way every day.
The Kansai Management Department that I work for has a very open atmosphere, and when I am faced with a problem that I cannot solve alone, my bosses and seniors work together to come up with a solution, which I am very grateful for. . I feel that they provide a good environment outside of the workplace, such as sometimes inviting me to a drinking party after work or inviting me to play golf on my days off.

interview 05

How do you think you have grown compared to when you first joined the company?

When I first joined the company, I had absolutely no knowledge of accounting, and I was in a situation where I really didn't know what was right and what was left. One day, I received this message from my boss.
Each number always has a meaning, and when these meaningful numbers are added up, they ultimately become the company's numbers. Therefore, no matter how big the numbers are, if you unravel them, you will definitely arrive at a number where each one has a meaning. The story was about something like this.
To be honest, I didn't really understand it at the time, but as I experienced my daily work, I was able to find out the reasons why the numbers were like this, and how to achieve my goals. When I find a way to reach that number and find a solution, I feel like I'm starting to understand the meaning of those words, and at the same time, I also feel like I've grown a little.

interview 06

Please tell us about your future goals and dreams.

I joined the company with the goal of helping people overseas, so I want to realize that goal. I feel that there is still a lot of work that needs to be done to achieve this, so my immediate goal is to work on improving the accuracy of my daily work. By doing so, I hope that I can become a person who not only relies on others, but is also relied upon by others. It may be difficult because I am not currently in a department directly involved in logistics operations and I have little relationship with overseas, but I would like to experience a variety of tasks in the future and be prepared to jump overseas when the time comes. That's what I think.

interview 07

Please give a message to job hunters!

It is the privilege of job hunting students to be able to hear directly from various companies and obtain information. I would like you to actively visit the company and listen to what the company has to say. I hope that someday, when I look back on myself, I will be grateful for my current activities and decisions. I hope that as a result of this, I will be able to work with you all at Nissin. We are rooting for you!
