Free shipping of picture books and discarded books to India as educational support

Based on Purpose of "Touch the hearts of all, delivering global happiness and peace," Nissin Corporation (hereinafter, "our company") supported the activities of the NPO organization Musubi-te (hereinafter, "Musubi-te") and transported Japanese picture books and discarded books by air to India free of charge as part of the organization's educational support.

In areas where Mutsumite operates, such as Bihar, India, there are few books in educational settings, and children have limited opportunities to learn. We decided to provide support, as we believe we can utilize our logistics network as an international logistics company to address this issue.

For this shipment, Nissin ABC Logistics worked with its Indian subsidiary, Nissin ABC Logistics Private Limited, to handle everything from packaging to local delivery, transporting the special picture books, which were Japanese folk tales translated into English by students from the Mukogawa Women's University Junior and Senior High School in Japan, as well as a large number of discarded books that are expected to be used as teaching materials. The books were safely delivered to the local base this month.

The books delivered to the affected areas are being read to by teachers and used as self-study materials by children. Musubi-te expressed their gratitude, saying, "Thanks to Nissin 's support, we were able to take the final step of 'delivering' the books to the children, and we have created an environment where children can open the pages by themselves."

We believe that our important mission is to contribute to solving social issues through logistics. We will continue to actively engage in educational and social contribution activities both in Japan and overseas, and support the generations that will lead the future.

The NPO Musubi-de is an international NGO established in 2021 with the mission of "reducing the number of people who are unable to make an effort due to external circumstances to zero," and operates directly in India.

The organization provides educational opportunities to 1,500 children, mainly in Bihar, Haryana, and Rajasthan, and also works to support women's independence. Representative Fukuoka, who lives in India, works with his Indian friends, and also provides disaster relief when needed.
