A preparatory committee has been established to create an industry association to promote the widespread adoption and standardization of trade DX.

June 8, 2026

To promote the digitalization of trade procedures, we will foster inter-service collaboration and cross-industry policy recommendations.

Nissin Corporation, Ltd. is pleased to announce that, together with Shippio Co., Ltd., the Japan Association for Simplification of Trade Procedures (JASTPRO), and other related businesses, we have established a preparatory committee to promote the dissemination and standardization of trade DX in order to further advance the digitalization of trade procedures.

Amid increasing global uncertainty and intensifying international competition, Japanese companies' Supply Chain are becoming increasingly complex. In this environment, streamlining and improving trade procedures is essential to maintaining and strengthening Japan's international competitiveness. On the other hand, while progress has been made in the digitalization of Japanese trade practices at the individual company, industry, and keiretsu levels, it remains largely limited to individual optimization, and overall inefficiencies persist.

Furthermore, while the expansion of digital trade procedure services is anticipated, challenges have also become apparent, including concerns from users regarding service continuity and interoperability, a lack of data sharing between businesses and services, and the absence of a unified channel for policy recommendations. These challenges are difficult to solve by simply promoting specific businesses or services; there is a need to create an environment that is easy to use and connect across industries.

Based on these challenges, this preparatory committee, together with related businesses that support these challenges and the objectives of this initiative, will organize areas of cooperation among trade DX businesses, consider ways to standardize data specifications and facilitate the smooth linking of data and procedures between services in a manner that allows for the participation of diverse businesses, and aim to establish an industry association that will serve as a unified point of contact for policy recommendations on trade DX. Through this, we aim to achieve healthy market expansion in the industry and balance competition and cooperation.

This preparatory committee will begin its activities under the following structure:

Founder

Shippio Co., Ltd. and the Japan Association for Simplification of Trade Procedures (JASTPRO)

committee member

Nissin Corporation, Tokyo Joint Accounting Office, TradeWaltz Inc.

observer

Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Trade Policy Bureau, Trade Promotion Division; Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Ports and Harbors Bureau, Counselor (Technical Management and Information Technology) Office

Over the next three months, the preparatory committee will discuss the organization's mission, philosophy, name, initial business activities, operational structure, decision-making system, articles of incorporation, bylaws, membership fees, etc., and will make concrete preparations for its establishment.

This preparatory committee aims to go beyond mere collaboration between businesses. Through digital transformation in international logistics and trade procedures, we aim to strengthen the global Supply Chain capabilities of Japanese companies and build a foundation that contributes to the development of the Japanese economy. Going forward, we will broadly call for collaboration with related businesses and organizations that support our objectives.

About this Preparatory Committee

This preparatory committee is a project-based committee established primarily by businesses providing trade procedure digitalization services, with the aim of developing areas of cooperation, improving interoperability, and creating a unified window for policy recommendations. We plan to conduct discussions and preparations toward the establishment of the organization over a period of about six months, and then take over its role once the organization is formally established.
