Joining the Energy Storage System Diagnostic and Utilization Network Alliance

We are pleased to announce our participation in the "Energy Storage System Diagnostic and Utilization Network Alliance (abbreviated as: Energy Storage System Alliance)" organized by the Osaka Science and Technology Center.
This alliance has begun its activities with the aim of building a new common foundation for diagnosis, evaluation, and utilization by creating a platform that brings together stakeholders from various fields, including "providers" (manufacturers, diagnostic service providers) and "users" (users) of battery diagnostics, as well as government agencies and research institutions.
Our company aims to realize a circular economy for lithium-ion batteries, and through our circular logistics solution "LiBerth," we provide safe and secure logistics functions for lithium-ion batteries.
Battery diagnostics enhance safety in the logistics of lithium-ion batteries.
The first meeting of the Energy Storage System Diagnostic and Utilization Network Alliance (abbreviated as: Energy Storage System Diagnostic Alliance)* was held on Friday, August 21st, at 2:30 PM in the large hall on the 8th floor of the Osaka Science and Technology Center Building.

In the panel session, Tahara from the Logistics LABO Department took the stage as a panelist, representing the user's perspective on battery diagnostic technology and services. He posed practical questions regarding safety in the collection, delivery, storage, and related operations of lithium-ion batteries, such as how safety standards should be established and implemented at the field level. In response, experts and service providers suggested the importance of a multi-layered approach that combines the perception of danger through human senses with detection using battery diagnostic technology. The panel session saw numerous questions and suggestions from the audience, resulting in a lively discussion.
The next meeting, the second in the series, is scheduled for Tuesday, October 13th. The discussion will focus on "evaluation and diagnostic services and criteria (thresholds) from a user's perspective," incorporating examples of battery-related accidents, troubles, and risks.
Background and purpose of establishment
In order for Japan to maintain and develop its competitiveness in the battery industry, it is an urgent task to adopt a perspective of creating new value, rather than simply focusing on developing new batteries or expanding production in volume.
To promote the "transition to a circular economy in the battery market," this alliance was established to bring together companies and organizations in the industry, from manufacturers to users, covering all upstream and downstream processes. It serves as a platform for accumulating practical, reliable battery diagnostics, lifespan predictions, and usage knowledge, fostering cross-industry shared understanding, and facilitating partner search and personnel training, ultimately creating a win-win environment across industrial sectors and levels related to energy storage systems.
Furthermore, our company serves as a managing member of this alliance.
