We conducted a nature experience program at Yadoriki Water Source Forest ~ Obtaining a Kanagawa Prefecture Forest CO2 Absorption Calculation Report ~
October 29, 2026
On October 4, 2026, our company conducted a forest conservation activity experience program at "Yadoriki Water Source Forest" in Yorichi, Matsuda-cho, Ashigarakami-gun, Kanagawa Prefecture. Approximately 20 employees and their families participated, and under the guidance of members of the Kanagawa Forest Instructors Association, they experienced thinning, observed nature, and inspected our company sign. The company sign installed in Yadoriki Water Source Forest bears the name of the forest, "Forest Connecting the Earth, Ocean, and Sky," which was named after acquiring naming rights from Kanagawa Prefecture through the Forest Regeneration Partnership Program.
This activity was conducted as part of Kanagawa Prefecture's "Forest Regeneration Partner Program." The Forest Regeneration Partner Program is a system in which the prefecture and partner companies and organizations work together to regenerate forests, based on the "Kanagawa Forest Regeneration 50-Year Plan" to pass on the rich blessings of Kanagawa Prefecture's forests to the next generation. Our company was founded in Kanagawa Prefecture, and under our group's materiality of "realizing a decarbonized society and contributing to an environmentally conscious circular society," we believe that actively participating in water source forest conservation activities will also lead to the promotion of sustainability activities, and therefore we are participating in this program.
Our company has been participating in this program since fiscal year 2019, and we have decided to continue for another five years starting in 2024. At that time, we obtained a "Forest CO2 Absorption Calculation Report" from Kanagawa Prefecture, and our CO2 absorption amount for the five years was calculated to be 247 tons of CO2. Our company will continue to actively promote sustainability activities, including environmental conservation.
