January 30, 2026
The 20th Japan-ASEAN Logistics Experts Meeting and Cold Chain Logistics Workshop, hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, was held in Bangkok, Thailand for two days from January 14, 2026. The purpose of this meeting was to deepen cooperation in the field of logistics between Japan and ASEAN countries.
As a core member of the Strategy Committee, we took the stage as a Japanese expert and introduced "LiBerth," a circular logistics solution for lithium-ion batteries, with the aim of realizing a circular economy. We provided examples of how the LiB Box, a fire-resistant storage box, is equipped with safety features such as automatic initial fire extinguishing and temperature/humidity abnormality detection and notification, and used it to store and collect lithium-ion batteries.
In addition, information was provided on new types of containers currently under development and future developments, which attracted a great deal of interest from government officials and experts from various countries. A total of approximately 250 people from the public and private sectors participated in the two-day meeting and workshop, and the event concluded on a high note.
Through our LiBerth business, we provide safe, secure, and efficient circular logistics solutions to everyone involved in the value chain, from the development of dedicated lithium-ion battery containers to manufacturing, Purpose, and recycling.
Going forward, we will contribute to solving logistics issues related to lithium-ion batteries not only in Japan but also in the ASEAN region.
