We accepted a company visit program for career education for junior high school students

On December 5th, we hosted 12 first-year students (7 in the morning and 5 in the afternoon) from Abiko Municipal Abiko Junior High School in Abiko City, Chiba Prefecture, for a corporate study tour at Tokyo Head Office.

The school has students visit actual companies to learn about their business operations, their role in society, the meaning of work, and so on, in an effort to use this knowledge to help them develop their future careers.

On the day, our employees gave an overview of our company and international logistics using videos and quizzes, and the participants researched actual transport routes in group work. In addition, they visited the Food Logistics Sales Department in the morning and the Global Logistics Sales Department 1 in the afternoon as part of workplace tours, where they received lectures from sales employees and learned about the import/export process related to transportation.

Furthermore, during the question and answer session, the trainees provided easy-to-understand answers to questions from the participating students, helping them to deepen their understanding of working for a logistics company and its role in society.

The students who participated commented that they had fun, and the accompanying teacher commented that the group work was excellent.

We will continue to actively contribute to educational support activities through company visits.
