FAQ

Q: Please tell me about your overseas assignment.

A: Currently, Nissin operates in over 150 locations in 24 countries and regions, and approximately 110 employees are currently stationed overseas as expatriates. Expatriates are active in a wide range of fields, and can experience a wide range of work, including not only local sales but also on-site management and supervision and the recruitment of local staff.
In addition to being stationed overseas, there are also overseas business trips and, for young employees, an overseas trainee program that allows them to gain experience at a local overseas subsidiary for a certain period of time, so there are many opportunities to go overseas.

Q: What kind of work do you do when you are stationed overseas?

A If you are assigned overseas as an expatriate, you will be responsible for all logistics operations for the local subsidiary.
Our work covers a wide range of areas, from on-site warehouse management to all sales activities on land, sea, and air, as well as business planning, labor management, and local staff management.

Q: Do I need language skills?

A: As we are a company that operates globally, I have many opportunities to come into contact with foreign languages on a daily basis. Most of the documents we handle are written in English, and we also communicate with overseas parties via email and phone.
However, the employment exam does not focus on language ability. There are opportunities to study language after joining the company, so even if you are worried about your language skills, you can take the employment exam without worry.

Q: What is the overseas training program?

A This is a training system aimed at developing human resources who can play an active role internationally. This program is aimed at young employees who have been with the company for three years or more, and will spend two years at one of our overseas subsidiaries acquiring knowledge of overseas business and a global perspective.
Past achievements include dispatches to China, Thailand, Malaysia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Russia, Germany, Singapore, etc.

Q: What do you prioritize when hiring?

A Our company makes selections that place emphasis on people. During the interview, I would like to hear about what you have worked on during your student days, and what you have learned and felt through your experiences thus far.

Q: Are you recruiting junior college students?

A Yes. We have a track record of hiring junior college students every year.

Q What kind of departments are there?

A Our organization is broadly divided into five departments: sales, operations, management, overseas, and domestic affiliates.
New graduates who join the company are first assigned to sales, operations, or management.

Q: How are assignments decided? Also, is it possible to be assigned to a local office?

A: Assignments for the first year after joining the company are determined based on three factors: requests for assignments from each department, the individual's wishes for assignment, and suitability. Subsequent personnel changes will be determined based on the personnel rotation system and self-reports, and in coordination with each department.
Depending on the department you are assigned to, some offices have offices in rural areas, so you may be required to work at a regional office.

  • Self-declaration form: Once a year, employees declare whether they wish to be transferred or not, and what work they would like to do in the future.

  • Personnel rotation system: A system that allows employees to experience working in multiple departments before assuming a certain position.

Q: Please tell me about the job openings.

A There are four types of jobs at our company: clerical staff, who are general workers, regional employees, and field staff and technical staff who mainly work on-site.
New graduates will be hired as administrative staff.
In addition, you may be assigned to the field as an office worker.

Q: Can I visit alumni?

A: Yes, it is possible. In that case, please contact the Human Resources Division of the Human Resources Department or the Human Resources and General Affairs Division of the Kansai Management Office using the inquiry form.

Q: Are there any qualifications I should obtain before joining the company?

A Qualifications related to the logistics industry include Customs clearance broker and trade practice certification. I believe that studying these things may be useful in my work. Also, studying foreign languages such as English and Chinese is a skill that will come in handy later in your career, so if you are interested, please give it a try.
Please be assured that the selection results will not be influenced by the presence or absence of qualifications.

Q: Please tell me about the welfare system.

We have systems that can be used to suit individual lifestyles so that each employee can demonstrate their abilities at work and work for a long time with peace of mind. For more information, please check the "Internal System, Training, and Welfare" section of our recruitment information.
